What our students are saying

I really like to learn songs quickly. I like that my teacher knows me really well and always makes sure I'm learning at a pace that keeps me excited. She makes sure to send me recordings and karaoke tracks so I can practise well during the week before my next class

- Aatmika, age 11, student

It's nice to see my daughter enjoying herself while also practising consistently. She gets individual attention and feedback from her teacher, which helps her.

I still have some more questions

The Western music vocal classes curriculum includes both theoretical and practical elements of Western music. At Stray Songs Vancouver, we start off by teaching you warm-up exercises, breathing techniques, notes, and simple songs. You will then move ahead in a structured manner at a pace that suits you to learn different kinds of songs.

We teach a wide variety of genres - from rhymes and folk songs to classical pieces and contemporary music, and of course, film songs!

As we are in touch with you and our educators, we will connect you with the appropriate Western vocal music educator based on your requirements. You only have to book an appointment with our Stray Songs Vancouver expert :) And don’t worry, all our educators are inspired and inspiring!

Naturally, it would depend on your hours of practice. :) You should be able to master simple songs within a few months. For more difficult numbers, it would be good to train your voice for a few years. If you want to make this your profession, how does a lifetime sound? :)

Everyone has a voice range. However, with continuous practice and training, you can slowly improve your range in both directions - both your higher and lower range!

Request your educator and if it is within your singing level and is a natural progression in your training, it should be possible!

We have the best of both worlds right now! We are in the process of shifting our classes from online to physical ones. But we still also have some online classes going on. Please do contact our expert to find out how the class will be conducted.

Once you have signed up for the course, a Stray Songs Vancouver representative will reach out to you, after which the classes will be scheduled by Stray Songs Vancouver on platforms like zoom or skype.
